Synopsis
Marcela is 27, a little too awkward for her age, and her career as a pianist has stagnated. She is unmarried and not college educated, which would be fine, but in her “perfect family” it makes her the black sheep. But, she’s happy!…when she’s alone in her apartment. Hey, at least she’s moved out of her parents’ house.
But when her estranged brother waltzes back into her life with a huge performance opportunity and an ultimatum, Marcela is forced to do something she’s been avoiding for years: have dinner with her overbearing, opinionated, Brazilian family. Can she be around them without adopting their idiosyncrasies? Can she be around them without killing somebody?
Whatever it takes to get her closer to her dream job, right?
